July 1 2006 State of the Blog
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to the newsletter or RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
We will begin publishing a short update on the first of each month regarding IdahoFallz.com visits, updates, and highlighting some of the best-written stories in the past month. We do this in the interest of conducting open and honest business, and to update our stakeholders. We consider IdahoFallz.com stakeholders to be not just business advertisers, but Idaho Falls residents and anyone concerned with positive improvements in our area.
June 2006 was our ninth month in operation and our biggest month ever in terms of visitors and posts.
Here is a screenshot of our Sitemeter-enabled visitor counts for the last 12 month rolling period, showing our growth chart and that June saw 4,400 visitors to IdahoFallz.com.

Here is a screenshot of our Sitemeter-enabled daily visitor counts in June, showing a general growth trend as the month progressed. The dips are those beautiful weekends we’ve been having.

Some of my favorite posts from the past month include:
- Etched In Stone (Business Profile)
- Revealing Web 2.0 Strategy
- Raising Idaho’s Minimum Wage Panel Discussion
- Richard Stallings Interview
- Religion Discussion (Not that I liked the content, but I liked that this contentious and adversarial topic got channeled somewhere that others didn’t have to read it if they didn’t want to. I was surprised and pleased at how quickly the comments flew in response, revealing it is a local hot topic.)
- Six free downloads to protect your PC
- Butch Otter Interview
- Idaho Falls ought to shoot 13 guns on 4th of July
- Idaho Falls Library needs self-checkouts
- Kimball Mason and his cronies almost got away with it
Thanks for all of your visits, stories, comments, and participation. You are what makes this site what it is. We look forward to an even bigger and better July.
