Who has experience with taking young children to local area photographers? I'm looking for someone who doesn't copyright their photos and gives me digital prints via CD. Someone with decent backdrops, creative ideas, and competitive pricing. I am used to doing my own, but it's getting tough. What about your experiences with store studios versus individual photographers? Thanks in advance.

I had a friend do their pictures at McBrides in Rexburg a few years ago and they were great! I think they kept the copyrights, though.

Alyce Clegg in Ammon is a great photographer and does very well with children. We now go to her. For years we always took our children to the Idaho Falls Sears Portrait Studios, but the last time was a nightmare with the photos out of focus. We decided it was better to spend a little more money and get the photos we desired.

We always go to Sears. They do a great job and are reasonably priced.

I used to go to Sears, too, but the last pictures were a bit blurry and even off centered. As we couldn't get everyone together again we were kinda stuck with what we got. That was in 2000, maybe they've gotten better since then.

Don't use the Walmart photography locations. Our Walmart stores in Idaho Falls both have them. They are snakes. They only care about your money…not your family pictures. Their photographers are NOT professional photographers. They hire SALES PEOPLE to take those pictures…not artists.

Chantri Keele in Rexburg is good, google her name and I bet you'll find her blog or gallery site.
