WOOD – The League of Idaho Cities is proud to announce that the Tandem Tour for Mental Health will take place at the Lewiston Community Center at 1424 Main Street on Wednesday, May 11 beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The tour is a series of presentations around the state for youth involved in Mayor’s Youth Advisory Councils (MYAC) or other leadership groups focused on mental health awareness, child abuse prevention drug and alcohol abuse, suicide prevention, youth leadership and community capacity building.
In collaboration with music therapist Audrey Draper, participants will learn how to identify a peer who may be struggling, how to access mental health resources and skills to help them cope with the challenges posed by COVID-19.
Participants will each receive a toolkit with resources to help them meet life’s challenges.
