Several cities in Idaho have signed public health mandates requiring masks to be worn indoors and outdoors.

Due to the recent increase in the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Idaho, cities in the state have signed public health warrants requiring residents to wear masks in public places.
As the state continues to fight the spread of the virus, these cities have put in place public health orders requiring masks to be worn until further notice.

Nice view
Bellevue Mayor Ned Burns has ordered a city-wide mask warrant that requires all citizens to wear face coverings when in public places. As of July 16 at midnight, this provision will remain in effect until a subsequent decision by the mayor and city council.
There are several exceptions to the rule, including children five and under, those who cannot wear a mask due to a health problem, the hearing impaired, law enforcement officers on duty and those in outdoor locations that allow social distancing guidelines to be met.
Anyone who violates this order will be guilty of an offense and risk a fine of up to $ 50.

Wooded
Ada County continues to lead the state in confirmed cases, prompting Mayor Lauren McLean to sign a public health order requiring masks to be worn in public places if social distancing guidelines cannot be followed.
Under McLean’s mandate, children under the age of five, first responders on duty, and those with communication or health problems will be exempt from the order.
The order will be effective from 12:01 am on Saturday July 4th.
According to the health decree, masks must completely cover the mouth and nose of an individual. The city will make efforts to educate people and businesses on the mask requirement.
Anyone refusing to comply with the order could face a misdemeanor charge, “liable to a fine, imprisonment, or both.”

Driggs
Mayor Hyrum Johnson has signed an emergency ordinance requiring all residents of the town of Driggs to wear face masks in public residences.
The decree has been in effect since July 3.
Anyone who violates this warrant is subject to a fine of up to $ 100. Those who willfully violate the order risk being charged with a disorderly conduct offense, according to the order.
Those who refuse to wear a mask at the request of company staff and owners risk being charged with trespassing.
Businesses that do not comply with the order will receive a warning and will be closed until compliance is made. Those who do not comply after the initial warning risk losing their city-issued business license.

On July 1, Mayor Martha Burke signed a city-wide warrant requiring all residents to wear face masks in public.

Kellogg City Council has issued a new mandate that requires all Kellogg residents to wear face coverings in public places where social distancing cannot be done.
There are exemptions from the ordering masks in Kellogg, including those for children under 5, the hearing or visually impaired, law enforcement officers who are not on duty, and those who are not. cannot “medically tolerate” the wearing of a mask.

Ketchum City Council has approved an emergency health ordinance requiring the wearing of face masks in public spaces. The warrant is legally enforceable and violators could face a fine of $ 100.
The order comes as Idaho sees a sharp rise in the number of new COVID-19 cases.
Masks should cover the nose and mouth. Public places include retail stores, government offices, medical facilities, educational institutions, arts and recreation, public transportation, including taxis and ride-sharing vehicles.
There are some exceptions, which include children under the age of 5, people who cannot medically tolerate wearing a face covering, people who are hard of hearing or communicating with a hearing-impaired person, or the ability to see the mouth. is essential for communication; law enforcement officers on duty, people who eat or drink in a restaurant, and outdoor public places where people can use social distancing.
Anyone who contravenes a provision of this Order is guilty of an offense punishable by a fine of $ 100. The ordinance takes effect on July 7.
Mccall
McCall City Council passed a resolution and health ordinance on July 1 requiring face masks to be worn in all indoor spaces or when six feet of social distancing cannot be maintained.
The order came into effect on July 2 at midnight. The city did not say how long the order will last, but it will encompass the July 4 weekend, when tens of thousands of visitors are expected to make it to the lakeside community.
According to the city, education is the goal, but fines of $ 100 are possible for those who do not comply. Officials said the order would help keep the public safe and businesses open. They also noted that this comes after a wave of community support for the order.

Moscow
Moscow Mayor Bill Lambert issued Public Health Emergency Order 20-03 requiring all Moscow residents to wear face coverings and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
The decree has been in effect since July 2.
“In light of current cases and a trend of a significant resurgence of infections and exposure to COVID-19 in Moscow, it is prudent to assess the public health risks for the community as a whole,” said Lambert said.

Victor
The city of Victor passed a city-wide ordinance on June 8 that requires all people to wear masks in public places. The ordinance will remain in effect until October 1, 2020, unless conditions allow the ordinance to be repealed earlier.
Like other cities that have adopted mask mandates, there are several exemptions to this mandate. Masks are not required when social distancing guidelines can be followed. People with physical or mental health problems that could be affected, children under five and those who play outdoors are exempt.
Those who fail to comply with the warrant may face an offense and a fine of $ 250.
